Three Things To Help With Leg Cramps

Our feet are the furthest things from our minds, both physically and mentally. We expect they’ll be uncomfortable at times, and we put up with it when they hurt. But healthy feet are fundamental to the quality of our lives. They are wondrously engineered and often the indicators of our overall health, so we need to look after them.

A leg cramp is a strong, tightening of a muscle that comes on suddenly and lasts from a few seconds to several minutes. Nighttime leg cramps are sudden spasms which interrupts sleep and because of these annoying spasms our quality of life is affected.

Why These Three?

Wear supportive shoes – some cramps are caused by flat feet (pronation). Wear your shoes and arch supports to help get rid of leg cramps.
Drink enough water – eight glasses a day. Try 1/3 cup of tonic water for nighttime cramps.
Get your vitamins – some cramps are caused by lack of vitamins, like magnesium and potassium. Make sure to eat vitamin-rich foods and take a multi-vitamin approved by your physician.
